The Congo Basin Sustainable Landscapes Impact Programme (Congo IP) is pleased to launch a Preprint on Apes and Agriculture
Through collaboration with Liverpool John Moores University and other partners, the Congo IP has produced a ground-breaking publication that highlights synergistic and antagonistic co-occurrences between agriculture and great apes. The paper contributes to the first component on land use planning of the regional project and proves how increasingly challenging it is to balance the needs of both humans and great apes given the growing human population and ever growing demand for resources and provides recommendations on how to tackle these multiple threats.
